Father Cavalia: What did you do?
Chuck: Well I'm just guessing, but it's possible the water I've been continuously pouring for you all morning came from the tap at the Bass Resort in Mexico. You see, I can't allow you to destroy Blair's wedding. You think because I love her I want her all to myself, but I'm not that man anymore. I just want her to be happy. And if marrying Louis will do that for her, then that's what's going to happen.

Chuck: Mrs. Waldorf, what are you—
Eleanor: —am I doing here. I've been asking myself the same question the whole ride over. Do you have something to drink?
Chuck: Of course. Sparkling or still?
Eleanor: Scotch. {she downs his drink}

Eleanor: I don't want my daughter to have to wait for a second chance to be happy. She should be happy the first time around.
Chuck: What are you saying?
Eleanor: All day long I have had this feeling that I had forgotten something and then I realized what it was. You. So. Are you coming to stop this thing or what?

Blair: What are you doing here?
Chuck: Trust me, the last thing I wanted to do was show up today but even your own mother seems to think we need to talk.
Blair: Well what I need is for you to—
Chuck: Don't marry him.
Blair: Chuck.
Chuck: Don't marry him.
Blair: All those people out there are waiting for me.
Chuck: Yes they are. But they also want you to be happy, which you're not going to be if you go through with this. Tell me I'm wrong and I'll leave. You can't. Because it should be us out there and you know it.
Blair: It isn't that simple.
Chuck: It's only that simple. You told me you loved me. I know it was true.
Blair: It is! Of course I love you, Chuck. I've always loved you. I love you more and more every day if it's even possible to love someone that much.
Chuck: Get out of here with me right now. We can go anywhere just as long as we're together.
Blair: I know you can't understand, and I don't expect you to, but even if I weren't with Louis... I couldn't be with you. Just know that not living with you is the hardest thing I've ever done. But at least I have someone who loves me by my side. you should find someone who loves you too.
Chuck: I have. She's standing right in front of me.
Blair: I know it sounds crazy, but I really am doing this for you.

Serena: Chuck, wait.
Chuck: Don't worry. I'm leaving.
Serena: No, that's not what I was going to say. You need to know something. Something that if Blair knew I was telling you she'd probably never speak to me again.

Chuck: Blair, you can't honestly believe—
Blair: What? Can't honestly believe that you were dead? Because you were. And you weren't coming back. The only thing I knew I could do in that moment was to find a way to try and save your life, whatever it took. Even though I knew that, once I did, you would never stop trying to ruin mine. So. The truth is out. But that doesn't mean I'm going anywhere with you.

The Backup Dan

Chuck: It appears our question has been answered. Blair's at my place.

Chuck: What have you done with Blair?
Georgina: Nothing. Except tell the dumbest member of your security team that I was her.

Serena: I'm sorry Blair wasn't here. I know you were hoping she'd run to you.
Chuck: I should have known it wasn't her. I need to make peace with the fact that it's over. Whoever released that video killed whatever chance I had with her.

Blair: It was you who sent in that video to Gossip Girl?
Chuck: And set me up to take the fall.
Serena: Yep. Yeah, fine. It was me who did it. But I did it for the two of you.
Blair: You ruined my wedding? For me? I know you never believed in my pact, but this wasn't your choice to make.
Serena: I didn't do it to hurt you, Blair. But you choosing to run away with Dan, knowing how I feel about him and not telling me any of it, that hurt too.

Blair: I can't let you buy my freedom.
Chuck: If it means getting rid of them it's worth the cost. I'd do anything for you.
Blair: No. not like this. I made a promise and I need to keep it.
Chuck: To God? Please. You broke that promise when you left Louis. And look. I'm still standing.
Blair: Chuck. I need you to let me handle this on my own. What kind of chance do we have if our fresh start is you buying me from Louis? When and if we end up together, it has to be as equals. With nothing over our heads. That's the only shot we have.
Chuck: I can't stand the thought of you with anyone else. I don't care what it costs or where we have to go. I just want to be with you.
Blair: Louis won't lay a hand on me. I promise. I'm sorry. This is how it has to be.

Despicable B

Chuck: Nathaniel, were my ears playing tricks on me or did I hear you on the phone with a young lady earlier?
Nate: No, not exactly. your mother called to talk to me.
Chuck: Well I'm not sure which one of us this is more awkward for.
Nate: Neither am I! Between my history with Diana and now yours? It's just too weird to be even in business with her. I would love to find some funding and possibly buy her out for good. You interested?
Chuck: Unfortunately I'm still trying to decide what kind of relationship I want with her. Which means I'm not ready to put her out of business just yet.
Nate: What your saying is, since I already screwed her—
Chuck: I don't need to also.

Chuck: What if all this subterfuge over my mother's identity is actually disguising the question. It's not Who's my mom? It's Who's my dad? Nate, I think Jack Bass is my father.

Raiders of the Lost Art

Chuck: Was that Diana?
Nate: Yeah. Looking for her book. I played it clueless.
Chuck: Good. Because if she's going to continue to lie to us and pretend to be my real mother I see no reason why we shouldn't return the favor.

Blair: Chuck. I don't have time for any of your nonsense. I have a very busy day planned.
Chuck: Blair, listen to me please. I have this book. It's written in code and I desperately need to crack it. I remembered how good you are at things like this. Or at least you were. Maybe that was the old you.

Blair: Apologies. I just needed a few minutes to get into character. If you want to think like Diana Payne, you have to become Diana Payne. {in a British accent} Cheers. Thanks a lot. You're adorable. Spectator.
Chuck: Regardless of whether we find Jack, I can't tell you how glad I am at this moment that Diana isn't really my mother.
Blair: Hand me the book.

Chuck: Looks like we might have a lead thanks to Blair's powers of observation.
Blair: But unfortunately the entire clue trail hangs by the flimsiest of threads. Nate's long term memory.

Chuck: Diana lied to me. She's not my mother. I think she's covering for my father. Well, my real father Jack.
Serena: Chuck, I'm so sorry. I didn't know.
Chuck: That book is the only chance I have at tracking Jack down.
Serena: Well what can I do?
Blair: Be with us, not against us.
Serena: You have me, one hundred percent.

Chuck: Jack.
Jack Bass: Hello Chuck.

Jack: Chuck, I'd love to chat but I'm late for something very important.
Chuck: You're not going anywhere until I get some answers.
Jack: Unfortunately it's fairly time sensitive so if you could please get out of the way.
Chuck: Diana Payne isn't my mother.
Jack: Sure she is.
Chuck: Admit it. You're the one that's been behind the lies all these years.
Jack: Why do you have to be so melodramatic about everything?
Chuck: Tell the truth Jack. For once in your life, it's time.

Chuck: Are you my father? Answer me.
Jack: Are you sure you really want to know.

Chuck: After everything we've been through, there's no room for secrets. Nor should there be. Whatever it is, you can tell me, Blair. It's just us here. You and me.
Blair: I think once everyone is gone, and it's quiet, you need to go back into that house.

Chuck: Dad?
Bart Bass (Robert John Burke): Oh my god.

The Fugitives

Chuck: So the car accident was real?
Bart: I was lucky to survive it. But it wasn't an accident. I'd been threatened.
Chuck: By who?
Bart: A very powerful competitor of mine. I had information on some transactions of his that could have put him away for a very long time. But his threats didn't work.
Chuck: They had someone ram your limo with a truck? Dad, You could have gone to the police. You didn't have to—
Bart: Yes, I did. He'd made it quite clear that both you and Lily were fair game. Once I realized his threats weren't empty, the only way out was to make him think he'd already one. Once I got to the hospital tonight I figured that would be my best chance.
Chuck: So what, you just paid some doctors to switch off the machines? Hope Lily was crying so much that she wouldn't notice you were actually still breathing? What did we bury in that coffin?
Bart: Charles, I am here with you now, trying to explain.

Chuck: There's so much I want to know. I guess now we have time. You can tell me everything.
Bart: Unfortunately I'm afraid our time is up. If the man I'm hiding from were to discover I'm still alive he'd try and kill me again. Or go after you.
Chuck: Let's go after him.
Bart: All you need to know is that as long as I'm still around we're still in danger.

Blair: Chuck, I can't really be seen with you right now. But how are you doing? Are you okay?
Chuck: Far from it. I have to find a way to stop my father from leaving tonight.
Blair: Leaving? But you just found him.
Chuck: He left to keep me safe. Now it's my turn to save him.

Diana: I don't suppose you came here to thank me.
Chuck: Thank you for what? Not telling me my father was alive, pretending to be my mother, or screwing my best friend?
Diana: You mean for keeping your father alive. Pretending to be your mother to protect him and, well, I don't expect you to thank me for Nate. Perhaps I should thank you for that one.
Chuck: Look, I'm not here to hug it out or bond over my father's resurrection. I just need your help in keeping him here.
Diana: I'm afraid that's not possible.
Chuck: I'm afraid it is. You've been helping him hide. I think you know who from. Who tried to kill my father? I know it was one of his competitors, someone powerful enough to scare him into hiding these last few years. I just want a name.
Diana: Does your father know you're here?
Chuck: If you really want to help him, help me put an end to this.
Diana: If I do agree—and only if—you can never say who told you. And I need something else from you. It's not a small request.

Chuck: What have you done?
Serena: Okay, someone has to tell me what's going on here.
Nate: We couldn't let her get away without any consequences. She's done nothing but deceive all of us, including you. It just wasn't right.
Lola: Yeah, we're sorry we messed up your deal but this was beyond business. It was personal.
Chuck: You have no idea how personal. I made that deal with her so she would help get my father out of hiding.
Serena: Your father. You mean Jack.
Chuck: Bart. He's alive.

Bart: Makes me think I did something right raising you.
Chuck: I think we both know you didn't raise me. You were too busy with inappropriate transient women to teach me any viable life lessons. Except those about inappropriate transient women.

The Return of the Ring

Chuck: I take it you've decided to have Lola move in for the summer.
Nate: She sleeps here every night, I want to see her every day. I figure why not.
Chuck: This place could use a woman's touch.
Bart Bass (Robert John Burke): Couldn't we all.

Bart: I am proud of you, son. Lily told me you stepped up but I had no idea how much you'd accomplished.
Chuck: Thank you. How was seeing Lily after all this time?
Bart: I never dealt with such a formidable woman. Made me regret not treating her better.
Chuck: They require dedication.
Bart: I assume you're talking about Blair Waldorf. But you two aren't back together?
Chuck: I made a lot of mistakes after you left. I lost my temper. I lost myself. When I finally realized what I'd done and I had the ring to propose it was too late.

Chuck: What are you doing here?
Blair: I came to check on you. Gossip Girl's been putting a bunch of stuff up and I wanted to make sure that you weren't hurt—
Chuck: Why would I be hurt about something that was in your diary a year ago? We've been through so much since then. talked about everything, made amends. Or is there some other reason you're here? Maybe to tell me you and Dan broke up?
Blair: No. We haven't.
Chuck: I can't play this game anymore, Blair. I spent a whole year waiting for you. I need to move forward.
Blair: No, you're right.

Chuck: Unless there's something else you need to say.

Chuck: You didn't need to buy me a gift.
Bart: Actually you bought it. I was in Harry Winston picking up an apology trinket for Lily. Helene told me it was in the vault. I thought you might want it back.
Chuck: Why?
Bart: Well isn't Blair the most important thing in your life? Where's that last grand gesture we spoke of earlier?
Chuck: Maybe I'll just hold on to it.

Bart: I thought that went well. What did you want to discuss?
Chuck: You said this was a family business. What happened to us being partners?
Bart: You said partnership. I said nothing and did what was best for my company.
Chuck: The only reason your company still exists is because I saved it. All I've done is work to protect your legacy.
Bart: And pine after Blair Waldorf.
Chuck: That has nothing to do with the way I've handled this business!
Bart: You didn't try and trade her for a hotel deed? You didn't let everything fall apart when you ran away from her—all the way to Europe? You didn't just three months ago almost bankrupt yourself trying to get her out of her marriage? I had hoped you had outgrown such foolish behavior, but you're still willing to throw everything away for a girl that's done nothing but toy with you.

Blair: I'm sorry.
Chuck: I don't need your pity.
Blair: I'm not here because I pity you. I'm here because it's time I was honest with you. I love you. I'm in love with you. I have tried to kill it, to run away from it, but I can't. And I don't want to anymore.
Chuck: So what?
Blair: So now we can be together. Isn't that what you want?
Chuck: It was. Before I lost everything.
Blair: Bass Industries isn't everything. I'm going to take over my mother's company and that can be our future.
Chuck: The only reason Waldorf Designs has a future is because I gave mine up for it. My father was right. I always put you first. And you bet against me every time. And now I have nothing.
Blair: You have me.
Chuck: That's not enough. I need a future.
Blair: Then let me be part of it.
Chuck: I don't want to be Mr. Blair Waldorf. I'm Chuck Bass.

Chuck: I'm off to meet Jack. It turns out my father cut him out of the company too.
Nate: I'm not surprised, but are you sure you want to partner with the guy?
Chuck: I need resources. I'm going to get back what I built and my father stole. Nobody knows resource management better than a vengeful Jack Bass.
