Here's the streetcar yards. Important because public transportation workers systematically dismantled the streetcar system, sold
the land, and then decided years later to introduce light rail, because we had no viable public transportation system.
These are things that tend to make me very very tired.
Can you believe that 31st and Lake had an amusement park at one point. Look at that thing. What the hell happened to it?
And here are the gardens along the Minnehaha parkway by the Longfellow house.
He had a private zoo on his property, people. A zoo.
This hotel was on Minnehaha. Very retro. Looks cool in this photo, but by the time I was growing up, it was best known as a convenient
place to rent a room by the hour.
